Luxury hospitality recruiter The Change Group is launching a new division to attract the best business, commercial and executive talent. The launch comes in response to growing demand for specialist business and management expertise within the capital’s industry.
Headed up by Craig Prentice, the new Business and Commercial Division will be focused on recruiting executives, marketing, sales, HR, finance and business support professionals with the skills to drive business success. This is vital as the UK’s successful hospitality sector offers continuing opportunities for growth in the UK and overseas, while at the same time, businesses face ongoing commercial challenges, especially in terms of rising costs and talent acquisition and retention.
Craig brings 20 years’ experience working in hospitality, both client side at some of London’s most iconic brands, as well as with a number of specialist hospitality recruitment companies. His role heading up Change’s Business & Commercial Division will focus predominantly in London, with a view to partnering with businesses looking to expand their UK offering internationally, both in Europe as well as the Far East, where Change has a Hong Kong operation. Craig will also be responsible for front of house appointments.
“As the hospitality sector expands in the UK, so too does the need for experienced hires at an executive and managerial level,” explains Prentice. “So often, a strong business and commercial team can transform an organisation and ensure they have a strong brand presence, savvy procedures and robust management structure.
“The Change Group has a very strong track record in back of house and front of house recruitment,” he continues. “By bringing my expertise in recruiting business and commercial roles, I believe our offering is now the strongest in the luxury and hospitality industry. With a combined network of over 100,000 candidates, all of which have been met in person, are fully referenced and trust us as their talent representatives, we offer a service that is much more bespoke than the average contingency recruitment agency is able to provide.”
Craig Allen, founder and director of The Change Group, said: “Hospitality is a UK success story, attracting tourists and overseas interest to London. However, competition is intense and navigating today’s business climate can be deeply challenging. Rising costs, the war for talent, building a brand, developing the right business and marketing strategy for sustained and sustainable growth, coping with Brexit – these are all areas that require specialist knowledge. This is why we are seeing urgent demand from hospitality companies across the board for experts in areas such as finance and marketing. Led by Craig Prentice, our dedicated team brings extensive expertise in pinpointing the best talent for these business management roles to help our customers build stronger businesses.”
