Peoplebank, Australia's largest tech and digital specialist recruiter has been named an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality (EOCGE) for 2018. The only recruiter awarded EOCGE recognition this year, Peoplebank is proud that 2018 marks six years of being among Australia's top organisations for gender equality initiatives as recognised by Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA).
In recent years, Peoplebank has worked consistently to build a workplace culture that ensures its people enjoy the same rewards, resources and opportunities, regardless of gender. The company’s core commitments include measures that aid work/life balance and encourage flexible working conditions, alongside initiatives aimed at eliminating unconscious bias in the hiring process. The company’s latest independent survey of staff revealed that around 85 per cent of employees believe their manager genuinely cares about gender equality.
Peoplebank is also extending its commitment to Australian companies and job seekers, including by adopting a gender decoder to ensure recruitment descriptions and advertisements are worded in ways that don’t discourage female applicants.

Peoplebank's inclusion in the 2018 EOCGE citations means the company is among fewer than 50 of Australia’s 2.5million organisations (one in every 50,000 Australian enterprises) who have achieved Employer of Choice for Gender Equality status for six or more consecutive years.
