Canberra-based Whizdom Recruitment, working to supply information technology and administrative contractors to government and private sector clients, has been the first ACT business to be acknowledged for setting best practice for organisations that recruit and manage workers. The company has been accredited to Certex International’s Talent Engagement Standard (TES), which defines critical compliance areas for companies who manage, recruit or engage talent. 

The Standard was undertaken by Whizdom Recruitment via The Association of Professional Staffing Companies in Australia (APSCo Australia) which is the voice for the sector and provides specialist support. The Association provides member companies such as Whizdom Recruitment, with a range of compliance and business improvement services, including the opportunity to complete the Talent Engagement Standard.

 

“The Standard recognises the key issues affecting business processes today, including the difficulties in retaining talent, the indifference surrounding immigration compliance, and, in many instances, lack of clarity about quality recruitment procedures,” comments Certex International managing director, Dianne Gibert.

 Julie Mills, managing director of the Association added: “Whizdom Recruitment have now joined an elite group of accredited companies who are recognised for delivering quality and compliance in all areas of the talent management process. Whizdom specifically comply in the areas of talent management, recruitment management, privacy management and quality management.”

The accreditation was presented to Whizdom Recruitment managing director, John McCluskey, at the APSCo Australia Directors’ quarterly event in Canberra today in front of industry leaders from across Australia, colleagues and guests from ACT Procurement.
