The past years have been challenging for the recruitment industry as a whole host of new standards, requirements, regulations and laws have been introduced to the recruitment industry in particular and to business in general. Without a doubt, the way recruiters operate today is vastly different from a few years ago.
The changes are not going to stop. This year will see the introduction of the GDPR and the government are consulting on the idea of extending IR35 changes to the private sector. More than this, the entire concept of employment relationships are under the microscope as the gig economy demands more attention from the the government to ensure fair work, fair rights and fair pay.
